What a Super Bowl

Last night, the New England Patriots rallied at the last minute to take home the Vince Lombardi trophy. Golden Boy Tom Brady was the Super Bowl MVP. The record-setting audience got a great see-saw game to enjoy over beers, nachos and wings. Such heart-pumping fun. Katy Perry put on a lively halftime show filled with fireworks, fake lions and even mascot sharks.
 

 
The New York Daily News poked fun that the sharks didn’t know what they were doing dance-wise. It’s a fair point, but have you ever tried to dance in a full mascot costume like that? If you have, you’ll understand all the difficulties it brings: hard to breathe, sweating profusely, and no peripheral vision so you barely can see what’s going on. As a comedian whose show features a dancing mascot, I am acutely aware of the challenges mascots face. So sharp mascot dancer, I salute you for going in front of 100 million people and trying get your groove on behind Katy Perry. You tried.
